Today, the North Market Downtown and Littleton’s Market announced Littleton’s Market Bakery will take over the stall vacated late last year by Omega Artisan Baking. Set to open sometime this summer, the Littleton’s stall marks an expansion of the grocery’s bakery program, and will include a production facility, retail bakery and café. The program will be led by pastry chef and 2023 Columbus Monthly Tastemaker Aaron Clouse. Clouse took the reins of Littleton’s bakery program earlier this year. Littleton’s opened at 2140 Tremont Center in Upper Arlington in December of 2023, expanding on the former Huffman’s Market storefront.

The owners of Mouton cocktail bar in the Short North announced on social media that the business will close some time in the coming weeks. They stated that their lease was not renewed by the landlord, as a new tenant will redevelop Mouton’s storefront and the one next door, which was most recently DeVine on High wine bar. Mouton first opened in 2010 and helped launch the modern cocktail scene in Columbus.

This week, both the Worthington Farmers Market and Columbus Food Adventures were voted the Best Farmers Market and Best Food Tour in the country, respectively, in USA Today’s 10Best reader’s choice polls. This is the first time both have taken the top spot in their categories; they beat out competition from a dozen other markets and tour companies across the country. (USA Today is owned by the same parent company as Columbus Monthly.)

North Country Charcuterie announced this week that it has changed its name to Foris Extraordinary Meats. The owners announced the update as the company celebrates 10 years in business, citing the change as they continue producing more than just charcuterie.
