Shawnee Station Opens in Shawnee Hills; Land-Grant Brewing Adds Second Franklinton Bar

Plus, Goodwood Brewing closes in the Arena District, and Royal Flamingo adds a coffee shop.

Shawnee Station Kitchen & Taproom in Shawnee Hills

Shawnee Station Kitchen & Taproom debuts this afternoon in Shawnee Hills. Operated by the owners of Maumee Bay Brewing Co. in Toledo, Shawnee Station combines Maumee Bay brews with a full bar and an upscale gastropub menu. The eatery is open for dinner hours but will add lunch in the coming weeks; it can be found at 6058 Glick Road in a new development that includes Boston Stoker Coffee.

Land-Grant Brewing Co. announced recently that it is expanding with a new bar called the Extension in Franklinton. Located between the Idea Foundry and the newer Gravity Experience Park, the Extension will open sometime this spring and feature experimental beers, ciders, cocktails and wines.

Royal Flamingo Coffee announced that it will open a retail coffee shop inside the new I Like It Like That cocktail bar, which recently debuted next to Natalie’s Grandview. The shop is slated to open this spring.

Last week, Louisville-based Goodwood Brewing closed its Columbus location at 401 N. Front St. in the Arena District.

Pelino’s Pasta debuted its new event space, dubbed Pelino’s on Pearl, in the former Tasi Café at 680 N. Pearl St. in the Short North. This follows closely on Pelino’s expansion into the Short North late last year, with the Piazza Pelino sandwich and gelato shop.

New Grounds Coffeehouse in Hilliard announced that it is adding a Plain City location at 135 E. Main St. An exact opening date hasn’t been shared yet.
